The first Nova Weekend kicked off in April 2011 – participants were given half a day to come up with an idea and present it to a crowd.

In a few hours, we not only came up with the idea for Hackboard, but also designed and coded it from the ground up so that we could give a working live demo. The organisers awarded us a prize for our ability to execute.

What is Hackboard?
Hackboard allows people to easily track the journey of their projects and share it with their social networks. It’s specifically designed for hackathon-type events, though it can also be used for other weekend projects.

The Hackboard is currently still in beta form. It looks rather scrappy at the moment because we spent only a few hours putting it together.

Hackboard in Upcoming Events
The Hackboard will be used as a platform for the upcoming Hackweekend, in which Techmaki is also a supporting partner.
